It is 20 years now since Marie-Christine and Claude Combes, with the help of Marie-Christine’s mother  Mme Barande, started receiving guests as friends from around the world in their Chateau  home.  Located in the heart of the Cathar country with its 6 guest rooms and 7 hectare park of centuries old trees, the Chateau de Garrevaques is an ideal spot for finding peace and relaxation or as a base for visiting Toulouse, Carcassonne and Albi.

Seventeen generations of this family have left their mark on this home and it was Count Henri de Gineste who restored the Chateau after the damage caused by the French Revolution.   His tomb can be found at the far end of the park.

Today his great grand-daughter Marie Christine and her husband Claude have converted the Chateau’s farm into the Pavillon du Chateau, an elegant modern hotel with  health spa and oriental hammam treatment centre called “Les Soins de Colette”.
